The Camp

The 2017 IFSC World Climbing Camp will be hosted by The Boulders Climbing Gym for 3-days packed with all your climbing desires.

January 6th-8th, 2017.

At the camp you’ll get to hang with the world’s top competition climbers and paraclimbers, learn and compete alongside them in a mock competition.

You’ll spend the weekend with the top climbers on the world cup circuit, who will share their knowledge and experience with you. You’ll attend workshops given by top-ranked athletes, as well as international coaches and officials. Then you’ll be assigned to a team led by one of the elite athletes, and compete alongside them in fun lead, speed and bouldering competitions.

The Terrains

The Boulders Climbing Gym is a not-for-profit society in Central Saanich, BC, with the mandate of making climbing accessible for everyone, regardless of ability or ability to pay.

With over 13,000 square feet (1,208 square metres) of climbing space, The Boulders Climbing Gym is a community facility and a unique social enterprise, providing adaptive recreation and rehabilitation programs, youth recreational and competitive programs, as well as facilitating a climbing academy at Stellys Secondary School.

On top of hosting it’s second IFSC World Climbing Camp, The Boulders Climbing Gym has hosted World Youth Championships (only North American venue capable of hosting), Speed World Cup, a number of National, Regional and Provincial Championships.

BoulderHouse is situated in a 5,000 ft2 facility that features the 100ft long Bouldering World Cup wall used at the 2015 World Cup in Toronto. With varied simple angles, we transform the face of the wall with over 70 Dimension Volumes every time we set. BoulderHouse is a simple facility, with all the focus on 8 finely crafted bouldering circuits, designed to deliver the very best climbing experience.
